RoboScout

RoboScout was designed by Sharper Image with large dynamic eyes that see through a hidden camera. The transmitter sends clear images even in near darkness to a screen on it's wireless remote control. Move the robot's eyes and tilt it's body up or down. Built-in microphones detect sounds and transmit what the little guy hears. He detects obstacles in his way, with the occasional “Whoops!”, or “Comin' through!” and an extensive vocabulary. The wireless remote moves him forward, backwards, right, left or in a pain. His mouth moves as he talks, the LED lights blinking in sync to the sounds. Both the robot and the wireless remote are powered by rechargeable batteries. He stands 25 inches tall and weighs 24 lbs. The remote, with a 3″ by 4″ screen, is 12 inches wide.
